Not So Shabby - A Shabby Blue Bathroom

I am in love with my son's bathroom makeover.
It feels so fresh and clean.
This was the last room in the house to get any love.
The wait was worth it.

Shabby Blue Gray walls with all white trim and brushed silver accents.

I chose to keep the decor very simple. The shower curtain is so bold I didn't want a lot else going on in such a small space. There is a happy alligator that hangs out in the bottom of the bath tub.
My sons favorite bath toy, Mr. Penguin.

Okay, now for my favorites. Vintage soda crate holds an original drawing B made in bright red.
These little tootsie toy cars were found on etsy a few weeks ago. I just love how she attached bunting to them, 30one is a wonderful seller and shop.
Under the soda crate is my metal medical box from when I was a kid. I brought it home last year when my mom was going to put it in a yard sale. I had to save it.
Then the 3 little pigs and the big cute wolf hangout under large mushroom trees.

And that is it...not a lot of fuss just some simple cute accents with a lot of meaning.

This decor can easily be swapped as he grows and starts to make his own decor choices.
For now it is a very relaxing place to soak in a bubble bath.

PS painting these cabinets about killed me. I decided to grab valspar paint at lowes normally we use behr paints. I will never use valspar again. Horrible, took 4 hours longer than my bathroom cabinets.
Lesson learned, next time going the extra 4 blocks and get Behr from home depot.

We have picked out the tile we want to replace the flooring. Can't wait for that!
It will make a huge difference.

Well, there ya go. This makeover cost me almost nothing. The wall paint was in our garage from projects before. The paint for the cabinets and new handles were $18. We had the soda crate, white frame to put the artwork in. The handmade pigs set was an xmas gift 2 years ago. We already had the shower curtain, mushroom trees and alligator bath pad. The only new purchase, other than paint was the little toy cars from 30one on etsy.

a whole new look for almost nothing!
