Inspired

We have been fighting for my child a lot in the past year.  His rights and ours are not being met in our school district.  It is very hard to get anyone to listen or care.
Remembering what country we live in and are supposed to ALL be free and equal I sat and made a shabby chic flag to work out my frustrations of the day.

I will be making more to put in Vintage Marketplace

Oh, please put me down for one...these are so beautiful.

I pray "someone" listens soon, if not I would check to see your tv news people have a "on your side" type of forum. We do here and it works!!

i'm so sad to hear of your district not being supportive! i was a one-one aid for a child with cerebral palsy one year and one with autism the next. i became a teacher to make sure all children were welcomed in a classroom. as a regular ed teacher, i embrace and cherish all students! my colleagues do as well. wish you could be here. keep fighting the good fight. there are laws that are meant to protect you and your child.find them and use them.xoxo

I love your shabby chic flag! I have been looking for one and yours is the only one I have come across. Do you know when you might add them to your etsy shop? Also, do you have an idea what you'll charge for them? Thanks so much! Keep advocating for your son. I'm a teacher and it only takes one teacher to make a difference! I hope that you'll find the right teacher this coming school year. Good luck to you both!

I want one when you put them in your shop!

I feel your frustration, and it breaks my heart. The problem is that IDEA is federally mandated, but not fully funded. And it's rare that there's accountability at the state level....the state doesn't hold the districts accountable.

I hope you have some fun things planned for Independence Day!
