Working in White

Finally got back in the groove of things.
I was inspired to make a few things yesterday as I was cleaning out some supplies.

Maybe it was our morning trip to the library. Surrounded by all those books.

I came home and grabbed my vintage book covers and started sewing and layering, stamping and hanging.

The boy slept, a good nap for once, which allowed me to put on some Season one Rachel Zoe shows and lose myself in my studio.

I am hoping for the same to happen today.

We spent the whole morning in the park. He ran and ran until there was no more energy to run.
Chasing birds, throwing leaves, climbing trees...it was perfect outside to just play and play and play.

The creation is a vintage book cover, covered in vintage linens and scraps with a glass type photo secured in the middle. It hangs from a vintage curtain hook.
On the flip side of the book is a faux french letter stamped and distressed.

So fun making it, hope to make more today :)

Wow, this is a very cool work of art. I love being surrounded by books, too.

It looks beautiful and the weather is truly magical here too...I simply want to sit on our balcony all day long and listen to the birds singing. Btw: I also have my telly on in the background while I work. Muah
