Heartache

How I wish I could tell all of you that yesterdays first school day was awesome and that he loved it.
Instead it was a very sad story and an eye opening experience for us.
My boy was neglected, no food or drink all day long. His diaper was not change and I found him locked away from his only security, his blankie, for they told me he was being punished.
My own baby didn't even want me to touch him when coming to pick him up.
I could go into great detail of how I found him but I will stop here.
Just, please if you have school age children, be aware, check out backgrounds and get feedback from other parents dropping their children off.
I am fearing this has scared him from school for a long time.
I know it has for me.

Just know Amy, after our chat last night, that as horrible as this was, he will do just fine when he starts kindergarten, it is so much different!
And do NOT blame yourself, this was their fault not yours!!!
Hope your both doing better today and I'm thinking of you and sending lot's of Mom hugs!
Sincerely,
Melinda

Oh, that's horrible. How could that be? I remember dropping my 3 year old off at a day care that I had worked at a decade before. It was so incredibly hectic that at lunchtime that I couldn't stand t and when they had given his pants away on the first day to another child that didn't have a spare pair I had to rethink my decision and promptly removed him from the place. How traumatic for both of you. He will forgive you though.

So sorry to hear your son had such a horrible first day of school. I hope you do report the people who traumatized him. School is supposed to be a safe, loving, home away from home atmosphere. Especially pre-k. Best of luck to you!

Oh, my heart is aching Amy. I cannot get over that your babe went without food/water/diaper. That is completely unacceptable - I've never seen anything like that. I do hope these folks get a talking to or that you can find another place.
I'm sure that beautiful boy warmed up in your arms.

You know how I feel about this! He's young and will move on from this horrible day. Fill his days with your love and tenderness, he will be fine.

Amy,
Well, you know how I feel. Don't get mad, get even. I might even be out in front picketing that "school".
That should not be allowed at all......! Let them know how you feel, let the media know, be brave....people like that should not be allowed the right to teach our children.......sometimes lessons are learned the hard way and rightfully so........do not let them get away with it.
I do hope Brooklyn is o.k., I know that having you as his mom will serve him well. No one will care as much about your child as you will, I learned this a long time ago.

Oh Amy, this must have made you feel so bad...its hard enough to send them, and then to have things go so bad...I hope you never have to have an experience like this again! XO

I'm so sorry Amy. It hurts my heart and makes my stomach turn hearing how they treated your precious little boy. I know it's all very raw right now, but this too shall pass. I will be praying that God heals the emotional wounds and that both you and your son will be ready to take that leap of faith again. Ask for His guidance and He will direct you.

Sincerely,
Irma

Wow...this is incredibly sad. I really hope you do report them. That is sick. Also would you mind telling me what school this was? My nephew is about to go into pre k and I know they live by you. I'll be sure they stay far away.

He'll get over it probably more quickly then you will. I'm upset for you! grrr

Oh my gosh. How could any sane person let that happen to a child. I am so sorry for you and him. He is young and will bounce back but you dear mom it is harder on you. You will question yourself over and over..but know that it wasn't your fault.
Hug him. Tell them they were wrong bad people and that school is not like that.
Thinking of you both..
