ReNew

Well Christmas is gone and with it the New Year coming it is time to think about refreshing and renewing our lives.
I am working on the renewing of my workspace to make it more relaxed and fresh.
I realized I spend almost all of my waking hours in our living room.
It is a space that is full of life, comfort, warmth and inspiration.
I need that in my work space.
My work space has always been filled to the brim with STUFF.  Overwhelming almost to work in.
Having way to much to divert my mind as I tried to focus.  I would start one project and end up on another.
While I sit in my living room, I have just a yarn basket and tv to occupy my mind.
So I am going to try to bring some of that living room energy into my workspace.

A sneak peek of what I am going for in the above picture.

Learning to take my life one day at a time in at a slower pace.
It is already working!! Each afternoon this week the child napped and I went back to writing in journals and sketching art projects out.  It has been forever since I have been able to do that.  My mind has been to cluttered with things and a workspace that was just overwhelming to sit in.

Stay tuned for a revealing of the full workspace...to come soon.  I am taking it slow as not to rush it and have to change things again.  I want it to reflect a peaceful place.

Oh and I wanted to add a link here to the wonderful Linda over at itsy bits and pieces that featured her giveaway win.  Thank you Linda, hope it keeps you super warm on those bitterly cold winter days :)

OH I so need to do this, too...it would be so wonderful to have a workspace that encouraged creativity...mine is pretty cluttered and is on my must do list! Thanks again, Amy, for my wonderful hot water bottle!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Amy!
The pictures of B are so adorable - I can't believe he didn't wake up when you changed his jammies.
Don't you just love the excitement over Santa's visit when they wake up? Our kiddoes were over the moon. :)
Blessings to you in 2013 - I know you'll continue to design wonderful creations in that sketch book of yours.
