Leaving on a Jet Plane

Chicago bound.

I am so thrilled this is the first time ever that I will be leaving the kid and hubby behind and taking a girls weekend.
It is going to be so awesome to be back in Chicago for 4 days!
I miss that city so much.
Getting to see my sis and shop and coffee, what more could a girl ask for?
I am sure my sis will show me so much that it will be hard to leave.
Best of all I get to wear real winter clothing!!!
I can't wait.
I have a few weeks to pack, how am I ever going to decide what to take.

On another note...
I discovered how awesome it is to take out my frustrations on a few golf balls.
I have taken up golf and I am loving it.
A coffee, some good clubs and a few balls for about an hour it the best stress reliever!!!!!
I just picture what it is I am so mad at and boom, that ball rockets across the course!!

On the days where I just need to go and let it all out, the driving range is the best.
The planes fly over low and the course plays the most awesome 80's music to keep it light and happy.

It really is a great getaway right in my own backyard.

What a great day!!!

Lucky gal, wish I could go with you!
You sisters will have a great time. Ask your sister to take you to Hubba Hubba a boutique on Clark, or at least it was on Clark when I lived there.

Oh, the golf, I love it, too. So true, you can take out all your frustration on that ball!! LOL

Hi Amy - just catching up -so sorry to read of the "lemons" you have been having in your life lately. I also love the old verse "when life hands you scraps, make quilts" - sounds like you are on top again though. How exciting going to spend time with your sis :-) Maybe just what you need to look forward to?? And golfing . . . have never tried it but sounds like lots of fun - I can think of a few things I could take my frustrations out on lately, Take care & keep your chin up, Luv Julie Xox

I'm so happy for you that you get to take a little vaca all by yourself. Those are the best and I'm sure spending time with your sister will help you regroup so when you come back things won't seem so bad:-)

Better get packing girl!

Have fun, Amy.
It sounds like just the thing you need, some nippy weather ( perhaps) and some big city gal time. I'm happy for you.
Have a ball smacking good time! ... (wait that doesn't sound so good does it)
