Fresh

Well kinda...
we are still hanging on to a bit of the nasty cold.  The cough seems to take the longest to heal.
But thank you all for warm wishes of getting better.  It is alway good to hear :)

Down came all of the Christmas today.  I couldn't stand being cooped up for another day looking at it.

It always takes me a bit to get used to the empty look it seems to have after it all goes away.  But it is so fresh and clean.
Which leads the mind to be fresh and happy for a new year and new beginnings.

All I can think about is going and getting fresh smelling candles to soften the air in the house.  Clean out this stale sickness and bring in some new air to breathe.
Something sweet and bakery smelling would be good.

This is the time of year I get crazy about red, pink and candy.
It's not that it is about Valentine's day but it is just that those colors to me bring fun and fresh things.  I adore hearts and candy and it makes me feel young and kid like.

My mood blanket even reflects that love...day 3 and my colors are red, dove grey and candy pink.

This project is so fun, and it only takes about 5 minutes a day to make a square.  Not too shabby.

I am in good spirits and the rest of the afternoon will be spent seeking out the perfect candle and dusting my house.  And maybe having a piece of candy or two ;)

Oh I adore those colour combinations of yours Amy ... loving the mix of the 3. And your candle choices look divine too ... I love nice smells in my home also. And yes, I too have been sneaking the odd piece of candy (or in my case, choc) - cant resist with all the left over christmas treats in the house. So glad to hear you are sounding a little brighter & on the mend x0x

So very happy to hear you are on the mend. I saw a flu is making it's way across our country, watch out!

I still have a few Christmas decorations up, I need to get busy and put them away. I love Christmas trees so much, I could look at a small one year round. sniff sniff

Good for you Amy, nothing wrong about feeling good! I always feel a bit of a letdown after the holidays but understand why. There's just so much hype and so much to think about and look forward to.....but I also like getting back into the routine.
Love your squares that you're making!
