Summer Dreams

Having already hit 104* here, summer is in full swing even though the calendar still reads Spring.

I have been focusing on dreamy summer items in my studio.

My Mornings

Lately my mornings have been made up of getting breakfast on the table, homeschooling and then I grab the camera and head to the back yard to photograph things for the ETSY shop and Instagram shop.

Shop Update

It has been awhile since I have been able to sit down in my studio and really create something that I am proud of.

These bags have stolen my time and heart.

They are all quilted and made from vintage pieces and upcycled scraps from previous projects.

They are all one of a kind and fully lined and interfaced for stability and durability.

Using vintage zippers and findings to make them all fun and different.
vintage keys and jingle bells jangle as you carry them.

I call them my Gypsy pouches.  For all you free spirit gypsies out there.

Family Getaway

We decided it was time for a family getaway so off we went to the most magical place on earth.
Disneyland and California Adventure Park
A week filled with singing and dancing, rides and swimming pools.
The boy had a good time.  He got to meet his first love, Woody

 But it definitely was not a magical the second time around.  He was getting bored by day 2 and asking if we could go back to the room so he could just play. 

He is at that age where he would rather have his toys and imagination than walking and rides. He loved meeting Characters and Disney Jr Live on Stage was a bit hit,

  But once he got on a ride he was all smiles and pure joy set in.  Most of the rides were shut down this year so it made it very congested and longer waits in lines for rides that usually you can walk right up to.  So next year I think we will skip Disney and head to a place that is more in tune with his age and likes.

The sun finally came out to enjoy a swim and slide on the waterslides, we couldn't drag him away.

  But once the sun started to go down he went from basking in the sun to this

He was so cold and tired he was not impressed with the Pixar parade at all.
We knew then that the fun was over time to head to the beach where so much fun was had
