Okay, seriously, I have a brain that loves dark and tattered, torn and distressed and then the other side of my brain loves pink and girly, fun and colorful.Since I can't decide on one thing for very long, we are constantly moving and switching things about in the house.
Last week we added lovely deep color to the living/tv room.
and now my mind has wandered to the kitty and laundry room.It was so dark and depressing in there, I cleared it out and added some shabby fun.
Pink polka dot shelf liner, clear jars to make everything brighter. My vintage downy bottle
and my fav is this orb radio found back home in a dive of a thrift shop for $2!! It is most excellent because it picks up the best AM country radio station that plays the real country hits, loretta, cash, patsy....oh my heart loves those crackly sounds of AM radio and vintage hits.
This makeover started by finding a Tender Vittles cat dish that I had as a kid and fed my kitties in growing up. I love the bright red plastic and the heart shaped bowls. My kitties are way to fat to eat out of this vintage little bowl but it looks great as wall art.I want to paint so cool graphics in bright colors that say "WASH IT" over the basket shelf.
The great thing about this room is that it is bright and fun now and even though it doesn't flow with the rest of the home, the door can shut and be my own little happy secret :)I have also been working with fun color, going into my scrap bin from years of working with colorful fabrics. My vintage charms and buttons are finding new homes on these colorful book pincushions. I love the way they are turning out and will soon be listed in the shop :)
Have a Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Oh Amy, you are definitely one after my heart!
That little ghost with the bow is from the same Hello Kitty line as the pumpkin you sent me right? Hehe I'd know because I wanted to buy that exact same little plush!!!! <3<3
And that vintage feeding bowl is way cute haha, I love the look your kitty was giving, so adorable!!!! :)
I know what you mean about bad customer service, they just turn me off. I think no matter the prestige of the place, one should never have a holier-than-thou attitude.
I remember seeing a schoolgirl once walk into Hermes wanting to buy a present, and counting out her coins to see what she could buy. She couldn't afford anything there but the salesgirl was so kind and gentle, it just made me think so highly of her and the brand she represented. :)

You are seriously hilarious! You are not bi-polar, girlfriend, you are normal. We are supposed to rotate our items, that way, they all get used!
You display so well and I love the kitty shot. She or he is looking at the camera as if to say, step away from my empty bowl. Too cute.
Lovin' your book pincushions, that fabric is so adorable.
