Vintage Spring Bunny

Even though today feels more like Winter than Spring, I will share a most prized possession of mine with you.
This little vintage yellow rabbit is mine from my childhood.
There is a story behind it that my brothers always tease me about.
I don't remember my age, but fairly young, maybe 6???
I believe it was a Sunday, my mother and I headed to Ben Franklin, remember those? Anyhoo, we did not celebrate Easter so looking at Easter products was a bit of a no no. But I fell hard for this little yellow bunny. I wanted it and cried leaving without her.

The rest of the day I pouted and cried until my dad caved and took me back to Ben Franklin, right before closing time, to buy this darn bunny.
From that day on, this bunny wore a little dress and bloomers and was my baby.
Over the years, I am not sure what happened to her outfit I adorned her with, but the outfit wasn't the important part... the rabbit was. I have now given her a little Spring rosette ribbon.
My hubby so makes fun of me for still having this poutty behavior when wanting something and leaving the store without it.
All I can say is, when I connect with something I connect hard. See, even this bunny has lived with me now for 30 some odd years. Other toys and stuffies came and went but not the one I pouted over all day :)

Oh Amy,
I soooo get where you're coming from with this post!
I too would become "fixated" on something and had to have it. It drove my poor Mom nuts! We'd be out and I would see something, usually shoes, on someone walking by that I HAD to have. I wouldn't rest til I found them and would drive everyone around me crazy!
And now my dd does the same thing....arrrghhh! I guess I deserve it....;).
But that is one cute bunny, I can see why you had to have it.
