Busy Bees
Thought I would pop in, seeing how its been quite a bit again since my last post.
For the most part we are just staying busy.
Crocheting fun things in the evenings....
Sewing a bit here and there...
Julie you inspired me to get back at my doily and scrap bin.
I guess I haven't posted just because it is just so day to day and regular around here. Which is not so normal for us. I love it and have been waiting for years to report we are just normal. Man it is nice, this is what most mothers experience and it is about time we got some normalcy around here.

Time Flies...
when you are having fun in life again.
This old blog is not getting much action. I am fine with that. It just means I am having more fun doing other things and living life.
L-I-V-I-N
as Matthew Mcconaughey would say
March was my birthday month, yes a month long celebration was had.
I discovered life again.
Did some most amazing things and didn't think a thing of it.
Just went with it.
There were parties, and dinners out. Lots of time away by myself and just with hubby. There were tattoos (BTW, the tattoo pic was just for show, it did not hurt at all ;) and art adventures. Bird watching and discovering I still got in on the basketball courts. We slept in and went to parks. We stayed up late and watched movies that everyone else had seen ages ago.
Most of all I got refreshed and a sense of renewal...I found the old me, yet discovered how I want the new old me to live.
Turning 40 was a life changing moment for me. I am not sad about it. I am feeling better and younger than I have in years. To be healthy and take the reins in life again feels amazing.
So If you don't see me around here much, you know I am out L-I-V-I-N...

Label Free
I am just popping in to share some amazing news with ya'll
I will do a more in depth post soon.
But for now we are too excited to share the biggest news.
Today my boy became LABEL FREE.
No more AUTISM Label for him.
We fought hard for 2 years to prove he was a typical little boy stuck in a world of frustration by not being able to communicate. We soon found out this was due to food allergies.
Today was his school IEP and we won. He will now be label free and will be in a typical gen ed classroom come fall semester.
It took a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, screaming and fighting, breakdowns and bouts of depression. But we never gave up. To us we saved his future. It was all worth it.
Keep fighting and go with your gut. If your child has been labeled, fight and keep fighting for his or her rights. I would be sick if we would have listened to the "professionals" and stood by doing nothing.
Okay full post to follow soon of our full story. Get some snacks ready it will be a long one ;)

Its March
Uh yeah, just as I was getting back into blogging, life took over.
So far in the month of March I have,
1. Turned 40
2. Been out more in the past two weeks without the boy than ever before in my life with him.
3. Enjoyed Dinners out with my Hubby
4. Had alone time
5. Slept in
6. Stayed up past 1 am
7. Played pinball
8. Went to local art galleries
9. Met new amazing artists in town
Yeah, a girl could get used to this life.
Grandma is here for a month doing babysitting duties so me and the hubs can finally paint the town red.
It has been a blast and tomorrow we will continue the fun with a Tattoo appointment.
Yep, I am living by the seat of my pants. Hey I turned 40, its allowed ;)

Spring = Fashion Rebirth
I love fashion.
High end and funky fun the better.
Always have been a lover of seeing the new trends, the spring and fall fashion weeks and magazines.
Now that magazines are no longer the hip fast way to view fashion, pinterest is my go to for inspiration.
Although I do live in a city that caters to high end shops and designers. So I get to browse and drool in person.
(CHANEL windows last year)
Every once in awhile I save my hard earned pennies and splurge. Bags are my drug of choice. But on this day I just could not bring myself to spend $2950.00 on my dream trend bag.
Instead I put my brain on and the stars and moons aligned, I decided to make my most loved designer bag, the Celine Berlingot (this is the original Celine bag)
It took about 30 minutes, plus $14 of my hard earned money and this is my version ( can you tell the difference?)
I am so thrilled with how it turned out. It will be my on the town bag this week.
This coming week is my birthday week, the big 4 - 0
I seriously can't believe it, I think I just turned 21 yesterday.
But anyhoo it is here and I am ready.
Especially with my new bag :)

Vintage Toys
Waking up this morning knowing we had a ton of things to get to before the fun of work could start in my studio.
It was so beautiful outside today that I hated to come in and dig through boxes to list things in my vintage shop.
So we played at the park for a bit before coming home to dive in.
The sun shone through the trees that are already in full bloom with leaves and blossoms. I had to try to shade myself because the sun was hot, burning the back of my neck.
While there was still good light coming in the windows I snapped pictures of my vintage toys. Not too many left in my collection. But they are some good ones that I am down to selling.
All will be listed in Vintagemarketplace.etsy.com by tonight.
Tomorrow will be a full day of listing and sorting boxes...thank goodness the boys new playmate is coming.
