October's Eve

It is upon us, my favorite time of year.
We celebrated with visiting the pumpkin patch this October's Eve.
Games, bounce houses, hayrides and of course pumpkins.

Yes it is 100* out so I opted for corduroy shorts and boots.

The glow of the orange pumpkins under the string lights.

A bright full harvest moon to light up our Jack O'lanterns by.

 Some homemade Jack O'lantern art

It was a beautiful day spent with family having fun.  Wish you all a most wonderful October to come.

You're Invited

Playing around in my studio today.
Made some fun girly princess party supplies

Princess magic wands from vintage book bindings dipped in shabby chic blue paint and then glittered with gold

Faux invitations for place settings in blue

and little shabby chic envelope pockets straight from the Queen.

Wouldn't these be fun little pockets to stuff with party invites or menus on the dinner plates.

Just a day in la la land around here:)

Wrapped Up

She sits and with rosy cheeks and a gorgeous dress...

I just love this photo card it is complete elegance.

I have attached it to one of my crocheted jars with vintage crochet thread wrapping around to hold her in place.

It is such a sweet item to decorate with.

Find it here or email me if you would like to purchase.

Warm Winter Whites

Lately I just can't get enough of crocheting in white cotton thread.
It is so warm and comforting to cover things in crochet stitches.

Jars, clothespins, pumpkins...you name it I will cover it.

Here are a few things up for grabs in my Etsy or just contact me by email if you would like to purchase :)

A set of 3 Upcycled crochet glass jars perfect for setting tea lights in.  Watching the warm flickering candlelight come through the crochet stitches is so peaceful...they also make great organizing systems for a messy desk top ;)

Distressed vintage clothespins all cozy in white cotton crochet  set of 5... great for you to alter and at paris touches to or leave them in a bowl on display.

Now these are not made by me, they are vintage spools of wool.
Each one is different and I think would make beautiful Christmas decor this winter...don't you.
I can see them atop a mantel with Christmas accents pinned to them to look like trees :)

And this little girl vintage tintype is too adorable for words...she would look amazing on some altered art works out there.

Well, this is what I am up to today.  I have more that I am working on and will be filling my shop all week long.
Email me if you have any questions or want me to hold items at

Dreaming of Fall

A good way to pass my day...
Cup of coffee, new Lucky style guide for Fall, and clouds.
It is very gloom here today but still very, very HOT!
Not at all what I am dreaming of ;(
I want crisp, cool days to bundle in a sweater, under a quilt outside watching the child play.

We were outside for a few minutes playing soccer and had to quit after only a few kicks.
The clouds are tricking us to think we will open the door to cool breezes but it is just a wall of heat.

So I will flip thru my new magazine and do some online shopping...
this is my new want, I just adore this cardigan from Free People

Welcome Home

I haven't had a chance in months to participate in White Wednesday with Kathleen at Faded Charm, but today I found a moment to share.

I am busy preparing pumpkins for Autumn Decor.
These white on white ones are perfect for welcoming home your guest this fall for holiday celebrations.

Used as place settings with tags that adorn them to say welcome home.

It is so peaceful to sit in the evenings and crochet these sweet little pumpkins, knowing that they are going to good homes.

Thanks again for all of you contacting me and ordering them, you've made my creating happy again. I was able to sit last night and crochet a bushel of them while watching my new favorite show, The Voice, my hubby got me hooked on it...I have never really seen it before.

Please email me if you are interested in grabbing one or two.
They are going quickly :) Cause I mean who doesn't love a pumpkin in a sweater????

**note, ordering on etsy is a bit more than if you contact me by email ;)

Creating Fall

Here in the desert we have to create the feeling of Fall/Autumn.

So I am loving crocheting up some goodies for my decor around the home.

Little baby pumpkins get golden cozy snuggies.
Always love a good Halloween magazine to get the creative juices flowing.

I have been covering tons of stuff in crochet for weeks.
I would show you more but I am relaxing and enjoying a pumpkin scone...

More later :)

Halloween Shop

I have reopened my etsy shop.
Starting with just a few Halloween decorations for the season.

I have listed the piece of art that was just published in Somerset Studio Magazine.
Along with some of my classic paper garlands with a Halloween twist.

Hope you can stop in and say hello.
